How to use DNA database overview and search

DNA database overview and search is one of the services developed and maintained by the Database Center for Life Science (DBCLS) in Japan. It is available from the LSDB home page. “DNA database overview and search” is developed and maintained as part of the “Integrated Database Project”, funded by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. It is a rapid search system that retrieves records maintained by the International Nucleotide Sequence Databases (INSD) and displays and organizes the results by taxonomy (species type), and project type (molecule type). For example, using “DNA database overview and search”, users can download nucleotide sequences of a particular species, submitted by a particular research institution in one click. In addition, a BLAST search, direct links to publications and patents, and histograms that show changes in the number of nucleotide submission are available.
